Sawdah Express — Cross-Border Shopping & Freight Forwarding Platform

Buying from Chinese marketplaces is hard for Bangladeshi shoppers: language barriers, unreliable sellers, no local payment options, and the logistics of consolidating items from many stores into one affordable shipment. Sawdah Express needed a single platform that hides all of that complexity — customers shop in one cart, pay locally, and track a single order from purchase to doorstep.

A three-part system built around one clean API contract. A fast customer storefront for browsing and ordering; a JSON API secured with per-customer authentication; and an operations admin where the team runs the business day to day. Every customer order is automatically split by originating supplier into sub-orders, so procurement, quality control, and packing can be tracked store-by-store while the customer still sees one unified order.

The admin models the real physical workflow rather than forcing staff to improvise. Goods flow through procurement (purchase orders against each supplier), quality-control reporting, packing into cartons, and consolidated warehouse shipments. Money is handled just as carefully — payments, refunds, payouts, and a customer wallet with a full transaction ledger — with every payment notification verified server-side and safe to process more than once.
